GREENHEART IBIZA
displays many activities in order to gain consciousness for the
eco-system and precious environment of the beautiful white island and to
show the people a more sustainable way of life. They offer various
workshops,
GREENHEART IBIZA, run by
fully dedicated volunteers, is in full process of creating full
consciousness among the island population concerning the recycling
process of waste. Many people still think it is all putt together in the
final stage of recycling and don’t wish to bother about separating their
waste at the collection points, or better yet, at their homes.

La Casita Verde |
La
Casita Verde
is a
model ecological & education centre that is found in a
beautiful valley near the village of San José in Ibiza, where they offer
visitors many tips for ecological
living.
The property was founded in 1996 and has 5.5 hectares of land and over
12 years it was transformed into a fully functional and modern
ecological education facility that is open to visitors
every Sunday from 14.00 - 18.00hrs,
and schools are very welcome to visit.

Casita Verde
has a members only sign
up system, where you will become a
life member
for 5 euro.
La
Casita Verde
offers an informational guided tour and serve vegetarian meals,
6 Euro, made from
the ecological products grown at their model eco-farm.

Casita Verde
provides info on healthy food production, they learn visitors how to
make fresh juices, give info on local products such as
Carob and
Aloë Vera.
You can enjoy chilled music sessions, relaxing
massages or beautifying
natural therapies, while
your children have fun together in the
play area
or with games and artwork sessions at the
Sunday play school.
On Thursdays the
centre is open for those who wish to work at the eco-farm for a day, and

Although
started in the late eighties, now the evolution of ecological
consciousness among the residents of IBIZA island is rapidly
developing.
The study group IBIZA ECOLOGIC that was initialized 1996 experienced
some disagreements before its current status as ecological movement.
In 2001 they presented their well-known logo and symbol, the greenheart
with yellow border.
Their well known
local eco-consiousness
initiative
IBIZA LIMPIA,
wants to create
a CLEAN IBIZA, and therefore planned 5
beach cleaning events throughout the Summer of 2010.
